when i get older losing my hair ...

i suppose the big news is that this weekend we are celebrating 20 years of marriage ... i say marriage more a meeting of souls really ... just saying that we have been married for that long gets comment from people we meet

1985 the year we got married ... Careless Whisper by George Michael ~We Built This City by Starship ~ Into The Groove by Madonna were all in the charts and of course it was the year of Live Aid (band aid was xmas 1984) ...

UK number one at the time we got married was Easy Lover by Phillip Bailey & Phil Collins
Films that year included The Breakfast Club (we still like it) ~ The Colour Purple ~ Back To The Future

Eastenders went on air for the first time ... In-ear headphones, CD-ROMs, Hi-8 camcorders and taxis with carphones hit the streets of the UK ... and it was the year that CocaCola tried to change it's formula

nobody carried a mobile phone ... cd's had only been launched the year before ... microwaves were a novelty and very expensive ... and of course you wouldn't be able to read this because there was no internet !

our ebay exploits have raised enough funds to order the new computer which will be arriving on monday ... so hours of loading software and swearing as things don't work ... it does take some doing getting everything how you want it

so off to bed now to get some beauty sleep ... well when you've been married as long as i have :)

This is another Sally - seeing that other comment confused me because I don't remember writing it, then I remembered that I'm not the only sally in the world even though I think I am...

ANYWAY - happy rather impressively long anniversary. Hope the partay was amazing - I decided if I had come, I would have made an iron lung costume.

Kiss Laura and Bob for me and come and see Oscar and me soon

Hugs & congrats from me too. It'v very comforting to realise that even you and Laura could be possibly considered middle aged if you weren't so impossibly young, cool and ....
Love to you both, anyway, and the odd prayer for many many more happy years :-) xxx

As it will be a comfort to you Kathryn, as an act of sacrifical service, I will henceforth consider Steve as middle-aged.

I'm such a giver I know.
